New Independence Day Numbered Radiogram? Comments?

开云体育

What do the assembled Virginia 13 Colonies (K2B) Event operators think about creating a new Radiogram for use on or around Independence Day?

I propose using "76" either by itself or in conjunction with "73" when signing off from a QSO, e.g., 73 es 76 de K2(X) might be used on CW. Similarly, it could be used on SSB, e.g., "73 and 76 from K2(X) QRZ?" or just "76 from K2(X), QRZ?".

The radiogram 76 or SEVENTY SIX would be defined as something like "Wishing you a happy Independence Day this July 4th".

I wouldn't expect this to be used in the National Traffic System (NTS), but it could be at some future point.

I thought of using "TU 76" on CW, but haven't yet, opting instead for "TU GBA" after I heard some SSB ops sign off with "God bless" or "God bless America."

Sounds good.

After the event, suggest it to the boss (Ken).

I tried to set up a Slow Speed Sweep for CW – to encourage those of us (ahem) who aren’t yet at 20 wpm.

Crickets.

So GL OM.

Why wait until after the event is over? I plan to start using it now to pique curiosity! This should be for general use around Independence Day, not just for 13 Colonies, just like the radiograms for Christmas.
