Re: 40 cw
I started on 7026 at 7pm, then had to QSY down a bit as someone put a steady carrier right on my freq. I spent two hours and made 100 Qs. many callers were very weak, and even with my low noise and

FWIW I experienced conditions similar to those described by others on 40M this morning between 0900-1100. The band was very noisy at my QTH. In addition to the noise, QSB was a problem - call would

Re: 40 meter SSB
Hi Bill, I have noticed over the past few weeks that 40 meters starts to open up at my QTH between 8:30 and 9:30. I tuned into you around 8:45 so I could see how things were going and try to let you

40 behaved itself during my 5-7 pm FT8 run. I made 86 Q¡¯s, with a steady stream of callers. Few contacts required re-sends in order to complete and I think only one failed to complete. Several other

Re: New Independence Day Numbered Radiogram? Comments?
Sounds good. After the event, suggest it to the boss (Ken). I tried to set up a Slow Speed Sweep for CW ¨C to encourage those of us (ahem) who aren¡¯t yet at 20 wpm. Crickets. So GL OM. David, K2WPM

40 meter SSB
Yesterday I operated 40 meters SSB from 7 to 9 pm.? My pace was comfortable.? I had a few QSOs here and there but rarely swamped by more than three calls at once.? There were 5- or 10-minute

Re: 40 meters
Ah, I¡¯d rather manage a pile up in FT-8 than on SSB any day .... even w/o F/H. Also, I find that there are more folks in the FT-8 watering hole than in FT-4 ... albeit when you work the FT-8 hole

I¡¯m scheduled to do FT8/FT4 on 40 from 5 to 7 pm. It will be interesting to see if the weak-signal modes are productive or if I¡¯ll be joining others in saying ¡°He¡¯s dead, Jim.¡± 73, Kay N3KN

My noise level is so high I can only hear the super loud ones, not even normal s9 stations. If some one wants the freq, its open. Sorry

40 Meters was super slow.
I ran 40M this morning from 0700-0900 this morning. It was super slow. Very metered at about 1 contact every 60 seconds. It was nice to only get one DUPE during that session. The band was down.
