My Schedule today

 

I have had to delete my 1 pm and 2 pm slots on 40 SSB today because I have a broken crown on a tooth and must go to the dentist to get it fixed at 1 pm-ish.?

Depending on how long it takes to get this done and what they have to do to the stupid tooth, I may be able to add some slots later in the afternoon.

To say I¡¯m p. o.¡¯d doesn¡¯t come close.?

There's huge gaps in the schedule today and tomorrow.
I filled10 hours yesterday, but I can't possibly fill 20 slots today!
Can people try to do an hour today to give us some coverage.
And maybe tomorrow too?
Especially 40 and 20 meter SSB.
I know it's not a contest, but I'd hate to see our state be humiliated like it was a few years ago.

Thanks,? I found the spread sheet,? Operated one hour yesterday? ssb on 15 m, 49 contacts, including Japan, Turkey, France, England, etc.?
Only on 15 minutes today? 11 contacts, all domestic on 20m

I picked up 40 SSB from our leader at 10 AM. I'd planned to do 2 hours but by the end of the first hour the callers were few and far between. The count was 107 but seemed like fewer at the time, especially toward the end of the hour.

No one was scheduled to do 40 FT8 at 11 AM, so I shifted to that mode and had a steady stream of callers. The queue was 6 deep a time or two. The count was 49.

I plan to do more 40 FT8 tonight, unless deterred by thunderstorms.

I'm also self spotting. I find that generates interest. Some people come back to me on the self spotting frequency instead of the frequency detected by the RBN.

K4QS did a cool thing - he handed the frequency over to me and then worked K2B! So... don't forget to do the same if you're collecting colonies and you need K2B

80 FT8 Saturday night

 

I had more business than I expected this evening. I never had to transmit the CQ message more than twice before someone called. The QSO total was 41, one of which was a duplicate. That's not bad for FT8. There were several other K2x stations on the band/mode, which probably helped stir the pot. I self-spotted once at the beginning of my hour.

Mike,

Thunder and lightning for the past couple hours now.? Radar shows a pretty well developed but slow moving line right down the middle of the State, so not likely anyone is in much better shape that you and I.

I'm enjoying the lightning show listening to music now.? CW another day.

4PM 20M CW Slot Open

 

I just vacated the 4PM 20M CW slot.? There is a building thunderstorm approaching, so I'm cranking down the tower and going to ground.

Someone in a better corner of the state weather wise may be able to use it.
