Day 1
I ran 40 phone 11 am - 1 pm yesterday and logged 264 contacts. FT8 on 15 in the 3 to 5 pm slot was another story. Calls were pretty constant and all but one or two completed successfully but I still logged only 59 contacts in 2 hours. My problem during that slot was not allowing my concentration to drift. Staying focused had not been an issue during the phone run! A lot of Europeans called on 15. Thunderstorms started right after I signed off at 5 pm so I was lucky to have been able to finish out the whole time slot. I¡¯m using the N1MM+ 13 Colonies UDC with the WSJT-X plug-in. Backed up the log to ADIF after each slot.?
Keep having fun! 73, Kay N3KN |

I almost wore out PG UP and PG DOWN on the N1MM keyboard! I think the range I heard was from about 16 to 30 WPM, with all sorts of "accents". I agree that it is fun to listen to the variety and hear folks working on their skills. I never hesitate to QRS in this event. Run 'em! 73, Rick N1RM -----Original Message-----

Worked about 120 on my first shift and sometimes, it was pretty hard to pull out the weak ones. It's interesting to see the variety of CW skill levels compared to a contest. I tried to run around 25WPM and I had all kinds of responses from straight keys, bugs, unstable VFOs, awful CW and all kinds of speeds. I think that's one of the reasons I really like doing this event. Variety! Looking forward to future shifts. Stu2, W7IY |

Self Spot Failure

DXScape will not send me a password (I've tested my connection to ARRL.NET). With no effective self spotting, I'm only wasting my effort. I¡¯m using Log4OM based on the youtube tutorial produced by Ant NU1U. At the end of the event I should be able to produce a .adi file that has the following 8 fields that will satisfy LoTW?for a satellite QSO:
