Moving focus to notification pop up

Hello,
I use Jaws 17, Jaws 2023 and 2025 on Windows 10 Pro. Whenever a Windows notification pops up, such as from Quick Share, how do I get Jaws to focus on it so I can?click on the options? For example, when I use Quick Share to transfer files from my phone wirelessly to my laptop via Bluetooth, a window will pop up on?my laptop asking me to accept the transfer, but I cannot get Jaws to move to that notification for me to click on Accept, therefore failing the transfer?every time. Also time is of the essence, as it only gives you a short time to click on Accept before the transfer is aborted.

Thank you.

Shirley

Hi Shirley,

I'm not familiar with Quick Share, but the following might help you to
reach its pop-up window:

1. Press Ins+F11 to access the list of System Tray icons.
2. Arrow down to Action Centre, press Tab once to reach the Right
Single Click button, and press Enter.
3. A menu will open. Open Action Centre will be the first item in the
menu and will be automatically selected, so just press Enter.
4. When Action Centre opens, press Tab until you reach the
notifications for Quick Share and press Enter.

Hopefully, this will force the Quick Share pop-up to open and JAWS
will be able to access it.

Good luck! :)

John

Isn't there a command to get jaws to say the pop up notifications ?

Justin

Thank you, John. I actually did that (I use Windows key plus A to get to action center) but clicking on the Qiock?Share notification in that list doesn't move Jaws focus onto the pop up window.

Hi Shirley,

WinKey+A to open Action Centre. I must remember that one! :)

Thanks!

John

PS: Ctrl+Shift+Alt+W will open Word... believe it or not!
