Jaws accessible software
Hello all,
I'm new and happy to be here. I'm using Jaws 2023 and Jaws 17 on Windows 10. I'm looking for some software that's compatible with Jaws and I'd appreciate any guidance. Specifically, I'm looking for an FTP software (to upload my webpages) and a tax software to prepare federal income taxes as well as NYS taxes. The IRS has a list of free tax software; which of them is compatible with Jaws? This link takes you to the list: Thank you so much! Shirrley |

The first paragraph is contradicting... what program do you really have JAWS 2023 *OR* 17 with Windows 10? As far as accessible software, I suggest folks reach out to privately (her email is still attached below). I haven't heard any tax-related software that works well as most cost money; but keep in mind, I'm Canadian. I hire someone to handle my taxes. I have a web site; however, FTP is not widely used any more, my website was built on Wordpress. The back-end is a bit of a learning curve to work-through. This list specifically discusses JAWS-related issues; not software-specific. Jen, list owner -----Original Message-----

Asking for recommendations regarding software that is known to be accessible with JAWS is about as JAWS specific/related as anything can be, in my opinion.? That's completely different from launching a discussion on how to use a given piece of software in conjunction with JAWS, as those discussions always end up being focused on the program in use, with JAWS (or any other screen reader) being completely incidental. -- Brian??¡¤?¡á??¡¤??????-?Virginia, USA?-?Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631;?M365 Family;?Android 13 (MIUI 14) I prefer true but imperfect knowledge, even if it leaves much undetermined and unpredictable, to a pretense of exact knowledge that is likely to be false. ?? ~ ?F.A. For FTP clients, and both were (I can't say are, as I haven't used either in ages) accessible with JAWS and other screen readers.? As a side comment, most webpage authoring tools include upload to host capability within them, so separate FTP clients are not generally necessary anymore.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, I use FileZilla all the time, and its very easy to use. There is one issue, ?after you connect to the server that you will be using, you need to shift tab till you get to the right field.? Other then that, there is no problems.? Tom K. ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>
