Getting copies of my own emails

I have my groups.io settings to not send me copies of my own emails and up until recently this worked. But now, and only for this group, I am all of a sudden getting copies of my own emails again.

So what's the story? Did the owner of this group decide that we needed this, never mind that we may not want it?

Gene:

I've not touch any setting and everyone should get their own copies of messages. I haven't touched any settings. Everyone gets a copy of their own messages. There is only three settings, "web/app" "web/app with mentions" or "none". I think copies of emails are automatic. This feature may differ in different levels. This group has been downgraded to "free" for now if/when membership reaches close to 100 (then I'll be changing status).

Thanks!

Jen, list owner

From a list user's perspective, in your groups.io account settings, you can choose whether to have a copy of your email posts sent back to you, I turned it off in my account so I should not be getting these.

Then check it again, and if it's still off, file an issue with Groups.io via [email protected].

Just like there are very occasional Windows updates that tweak a setting you've set to something other than the default, the same thing can happen when Groups.io does maintenance.

But there are also bugs, too.? The only way to determine whether it's just a resetting of that setting or a bug is to check what state that checkbox is in and proceed accordingly.

The checkbox is in the Groups.io Account Page, Preferences Pane, with the label, "I always want copies of my own emails."

My account setting hasn't changed. I'm not surprised because only this one group of all the groups I subscribe to is affected.

Thanks for the email address, I'll report it.

I suspect it is due to the fact that this group down-graded from premium to free. I let the free three-month free premium trial last as we haven't gotten close to 100. I am only guessing this may have been what caused the change as I never touched anyone's preferences as I want members to have control of how they want to receive messages. I don't believe this is a glitch.
