Community encouraged to attend and provide comments live online through Zoom

Following a brief transition to in-person public meetings,?the City will return to virtual meetings held via Zoom for City Council, Commissions, Committees, and Boards.?With the health of our community and staff in mind, this decision is a preventative measure aimed at reducing community exposure to COVID-19, in light of the rapid spread of the Delta variant,?, and recommendations from public health to wear masks indoors.?

“Thankfully, we know that community participation during our virtual meetings, online and by phone, has been successful throughout the pandemic,” said City Manager Adam McGill. “We’re fortunate to have an engaged community and appreciate their flexibility as we continue to navigate through these changes together.”

As allowed by Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-08-21, the City will not offer an in-person meeting location for the public to attend meetings and will instead hold them via teleconference.?Virtual meetings will resume beginning with the City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 6pm and will continue until further notice.

Instructions on how to participate and provide public comment during virtual meetings are available in the meeting agendas which are posted at least 72 hours in advance of each meeting at?
