Guys , my memory is failing, but the contacts of most pots/switches that I recall don¡¯t have visible rivets .. do they ?? But maybe some older ones do ? has anybody got a picture? I looked in here:

Sometimes the rivets won't take solder. Scrape both rivets and body. ?Try soldering a again?Sent from my Galaxy

I'll try a little solder on the rivets and lugs. From the plug to the first lug is OK. Nothing on the other side, switch is open at the rivet.

EmilYou didn't mention checking to see if the ON / OFF switch rivets are high impedance thus causing the switch to be permanently open.? You could connect an ohmmeter to the line cord? plug and use

EmilDoes the switch still "click" when turned to the OFF position?? If so, take a close look at the switch solder lugs on the switch wafer.? There should be a rivet on each solder lug that connects
