Air New Zealand wants to Weigh You

I don't think Lynn will stand (or sit) for that at all!

Mac, a European airline about 20 year ago weighed passengers and charged them for being over the standard FAA per person weight. I think it might have been Ryan Air. When sales dropped off they canceled the "weigh in". When I took my FAA? Commercial flight test, the standard passenger weight was 170 lbs for use in weight/balance calculations.?

Hi all,

Air NZ is using the excuse that they are trying to check to see if the “standard” weight has changed. They did weigh passengers to and from Samoa a year or two back but after ?political pressure that was stopped.

That’s why everyone needs to keep their feet up off the deck, to reduce perceived weight, and flap their arms on take-off to assist the engine power.

I confess to coming in above FAA assumptions.
