Photo attachments and photo albums are two entirely different things and have separate controls. Please explain what you want to do and we'll try help you again.

Change the Reply-to setting to "Only to Sender." They can still reply to whoever posted the initial message/image, but not to the group.

Anything coming back that meets the threading algorithm (and would otherwise post as a reply) will be bounced.

Re: Sending invitations to multiple people
Thank you. Yes I got an email from groups.io to my email that is associated with the account. The message was that my list was not formatted properly. I did upload a plain text files as described in Invitation info in owner's manual.
I can try uploading small batches but it will take a while to do so.
For uploading as you describe what format should I be pulling emails from - excel, plain text, ?
Also, subsequently I wanted to invite one person so they could get familiar with this new group and perhaps help me. I received a message at the top of the invitation page saying that I had reached a limit on invitations. What does that mean? How will that be corrected?
Thank you. |

I see that in "announcement only" groups only moderators can post. So, not sure about how to answer your last question. You should be able to change message preferences to allow attachments (i.e. photos). pk -----Original Message-----

It's possible but if your classmates are like mine (circa 1967) it will be confusing.

Any messages to my group which contain photos are moderated. I edit such messages and delete duplicate photos by hand. It's a little tedious, but the result is clean and some of our members have taken to heart my suggestion to reply to emails without photos so their replies are distributed immediately. Good luck. A Question About Starting a New Group
Hello All,
I¡¯ve been running a high school reunion group for those of us who attended from the school¡¯s first day in 1953 through 1965 - that long only to include our younger siblings. I had to cancel allowing photos some time ago, reason being that everyone would reply and leave the photo in their response which took up too much of my time deleting them all afterwards. An idea just came to me. I am thinking of starting a second group for us - one for sharing photos only - - - but only if it can be set to no responses. Send but not respond. sending invitations
I have been trying to send a list of emails out to invite my group to join our new groups.io group but have received an error message that not formatted properly. Tried to send one email invitation out to someone who might be able to help me and message says I have sent out too many.
This is really horrible.
What can I do?
Thank you. |

You "sent out your list" and are getting an email back? That makes no sense. There is no way to invite people via email. You have to use the web interface.
?
The most robust way to invite a group of people is to simply copy their email addresses from a spreadsheet column and paste that into the invitation page.
?
?
You may receive a warning that you can't invite more than 20 people at a time. Don't worry about that. All the invitations will go out within an hour or two.
?
Group_Help is not a private help line. As with the group you're trying to set up, we communicate publicly so that others can benefit. ?
I hope this helps. If not, you need to explain more fully what you did, what your expectations were, and how the system failed to live up to them.?
?

Bruce

Have you had a look at the Owners Manual and/or Members Manual?

Sending invitations to multiple people
I have sent my list out several times and keep getting an email that it wasn't formatted properly. We sent it plain text UTF-8. I am so upset as I have a large group and need to get this set up. I have joined and paid for premium.
Is anyone available for a phone call to guide me?
Thank you. |
