Yahoo has now created a downloader #yahoo

I received an email from yahoo and in it it said
"If you would like to keep any of the content you¡¯ve posted or stored in the past within your Yahoo Group, please download it by December 14 by accessing?."
Looks like it only allows a person to download their own posts and information, so we still need to do a complete group download.

I used a Yahoo method in an attempt to download an entire group of which I'm the owner.? I got what seem to be all the messages, but the files and photos seem to be only ones that I uploaded to Yahoo.? I also got what seem to be all the thousands of emails from a group of which I am a mere member.

Does anyone know if Yahoo has a method that would allow me to download a more complete set of the files and photos from the Yahoo group I own?

My Yahoo download seems to have given me all of the files and photos for the group I am an owner of.

It may keep you occupied for a while, but as long as Yahoo is working, you can just manually download the files and photos.

I tried that link out of curiosity, because in our transfer almost two years ago I left the photos behind for various reasons.

Result: My trial with the yahoo download link was in vain, for only the messages were transferred, no photos, not even the files which of course were not needed anyway.
For me that?s it now as far as yahoo is concerned.

The photos are not that important anyway, I was just curious if it would work.

In my early days, while anxious over whether or not I¡¯d make the transfer@ invitation acceptance in time, I looked into downloading my all-text posts.
?
That led to a download service in YG but every time I¡¯ve checked it, it wasn¡¯t yet ready.
?
I clicked the hyperlink below, however, and got this:
?

?
So, I wonder if that was my earlier request, or something related to a connection to the hyperlink this morning...
?
Not encouraging, but I¡¯m trustful that the process will work, now that I¡¯m actually in the queue (meaning, I believe I understand, that my data is all in .io but not yet loaded onto my account.
?
I sure wish I¡¯d known of .io a year or more ago...

I received the same ¡°no data¡± message.?

My son researched various downloaders on Github and used yahoo-group-archiver by ignoredambience. ?It downloaded twenty years of everything in a few hours ?(our internet isn¡¯t all it should be or would have been faster) into json files. So I have a members list to do invites, and message and photo archives and now have time to decide how to best assemble them for member access.?
if you don¡¯t have a developer in house (I¡¯m just a user) you can either let groups.io do the work (and I¡¯m pretty impressed with how they¡¯ve been responding), devote time to manually download your group¡¯s stuff - which is kind of like cleaning out the basement or looking in that old box of photos.
I had already downloaded our files manually. Yahoo¡¯s members list download limits you to 1000 entries in a cvs file and only work sin one direction. But I was able to sort backwards (alpha on email address), scroll the entries the download didn¡¯t pick up and save as a pdf. This picked up all the entries the download missed and retained the column format.
