Uploading to Files section

Steve Ozel

I am Moderator of a sub-group, but cannot upload files to the Files section, either of the sub-group or of the main group. I get the 'no entry' sign when I hover over the 'Upload File' button.?

Why is this? Do I need to change a setting?

The group owner will need to change settings for the main group and the subgroup.? Under the Files section of the Settings page (way down the page under Features), the group owner will need to enable Files by choosing who can View and Upload files in the Permissions box.? Scroll to the bottom of the page and Update Group.

Steve -- To the best of my knowledge, if Files are enabled at all, any Moderator should be able to upload.

I suspect you have exceeded your storage quota. See?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Managing-Attachments%2C-Files-and-Photos

Thanks for your answer, Duane. I am the Owner of the Main group that Steve referred to and I had made Steve the Moderator of the sub-group but I hadn't changed the Settings of the main group and Members were not allowed to Upload files. If this is the default condition, other Owners may like to take note.
As Duane has implied, one needs to scroll down to find the Files section under Settings. I was too lazy to look that far!
There was no problem with the storage quota for this brand new sub-group.
