Never had it work this way before:
Today, I (owner of a group) received the Subscription Approval Needed email. I clicked on the link to 'View Pending Member' and Chrome opened up to the prospective member's listing. I clicked on 'Approve' and was taken to the membership list page. So far, so good. BUT... that list only showed 5 members: The member I just approved, the first member that signed up with the group before the transfer which was in February, 2018, myself and two moderators. So I followed the following sequence: 'Your Groups>(my group)>Admin>Members and the list shows the 978 members I expected to see, but not the new member I just approved.?

Is this just a symptom of the overwhelmed servers or does this seem like a bug I should watch for a few days to see if it clears up and if not, report to support?

And one other thing that's not important on our group, but details of how things work always intrigue me, the actual request email came late last night (11/1) and even though I approved it today (11/2), the joined date on that new member that only showed up on the first abbreviated member list was 11/1. Is it always the case that the joined date is the date they applied and not the date they are approved?

David -- I really doubt that this is a bug, or it would have been reported a long time ago.

You can change which members are displayed by pulling down the blue menu at upper left and selecting one of the other options (Members, Bouncing, Pending, Banned, etc).?

If you click on the link in a "needing approval" email it defaults to the Pending view.

Here it is 7 hours later and the behavior is still the same. The ONLY way I can see the new member is to click on the "View Pending Member" link in the email. When I do that, it appears the new member is now approved. Clicking on that member's page and either Save or Cancel, and I get back to the member list... but with only 5 members, as above. The only way I see the full membership list is to go to my group's home page then back to the membership list. Everybody is there EXCEPT the new member.?

And there are no entries in the moderator activity log since a different new member was approved 4 days ago. And no entries in the All activity log that the person even applied. It's like the approval I earlier today didn't happen.?

Any more ideas?

An obscure situation that has happened to others:? The person withdrew their request to join before you approved it.? Nothing gets logged anyplace because they weren't actually a member yet.? You may be able to verify this by contacting the "new member" via personal email.

I also have noticed this. In my group it appears that indeed the date is based on when the member applies, not when they were approved.?
