Premium plan payment options

 

Hello,

For the Premium plan, would anyone know if a group can:

1. Pay for multiple years at once?
2. Pay by check instead of card?

Trying to understand what options are available. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Latika,

If you are already the owner of a group, you can see all the options under Admin | Billing.

If you are not, then looking at my Billing options, I only see monthly or annual payments. Payment method is only by Credit Card.

If you have a need to change the Billing options, then you can post a request in the Beta group. I did a quick search in the Beta group to see if there has been any discussion of different payment methods and periods. There was a request to allow PayPal as a payment option, but I don't see any sign that this was added to the "to do" list. By the way, the Groups.io 'to do" list is here, and you can search using the Filter in the Menu on the right hand side. There is nothing that I found that contains Payment or Billing :-



I suspect that Groups.io are trying to keep it simple, as it does take time to keep track of the payments, if you allow different options for payment method and the payment period. On the other hand, more income in advance from multiple year payments would allow them to employ someone for the admin tasks.

I saw no answer to this question, so I will ask it again, in October, 2020.

Can I pay for multiple years.? We asked for donations in my 2 groups and we got enoguh to pay for a second year so I would like to add a year.? Can I do that?? And if yes, How?? (So I don't foul the bookkeeping of groups.io.)

We seem to have two ongoing threads here in GMF, both asking the same question.
