Override/translate "confirm subscription" message
#messages
#subscription
#settings
Hello,
?
I opened a group for people where some of them don't speak English. Hence, I need the possibility to either override, translate or turn off the "Confirm Your Groups.io Subscription" message that new subscribers receive after sending a first registration email Otherwise, people won't reply and never be able to sign up. Which options do I have?
?
Thanks and?best regards Armin |

I need the possibility to either override, translate or turn off the "Confirm Your Groups.io Subscription" messageAt present, you have no control of this message.? Translation of the site/messages to other languages is an often requested feature, but it will be a huge task.? If you send an invitation, their email address should be confirmed when they accept the invitation.? If you have a paid group, you can Direct Add people, bypassing the confirmation step. When I lived in Japan, I wasnt fleunt in written kanji but I did recognize common formatting of websites and emails which I suspect your users may be as well. Many might try clicking on the link so in the Confirmation Email which is all they really need to do.? You have probably thought of this, if not here goes: Capture the Confirmation Email that GIO sent to you in an image. Circle the blue link that they need to click and then email the?image to your prospective members along with an explanation in your native language to click on the circled link.? ? -- Sandi Dickenson Moderator of ASG Volunteers Group |

Are there any developments regarding this future request? Is it possible to change/translate the emails generated by the system into other languages? You can change your language preference at /settings/prefs?
?
At this time there are only 11 options.
?
Note this is an account setting, not a group setting.
