Muting
It's not very intuitive, but it has to be done from the overview page while you're signed in, / . More info at /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Help-Mock-up#Managing-muted-and-followed-topics.? It would be a good suggestion for beta to have the buttons on each group as well.

I get how to mute, unmute a hashtag, for the life of me I don't see a mute option for a topic. If you do manage to mute a topic online, that won't make it disappear from the message archive. Muting only affects email delivery. It's on that basis I believe you will only find a "mute this topic" link in incoming emails. If desired, you can subsequently unmute them using the page Duane mentioned earlier in this thread. Hope this helps, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

My group choose individually either digest and individual email delivery. I¡¯m trying to understand #hashtag options.
If a person uses the mute hashtag option the message will still be in digest or summary - correct?? What about if a person creates a message with automatic timeout, does that message show in email or digest that it has an expiration date? Maybe I¡¯m overthinking it, Nancy |

Nancy,
If a person uses the mute hashtag option the message will still be inNot in a digest. Muting or Following have the same effect in digest content as for individual messages. I'm uncertain about whether the Summary content reflects an individual's Muting or Following choices.
