On the website a new thread/topic appeared, but it started with a member posting two responses to the original post.? I couldn't see that original post on the website and the message count for the topic was only two - i.e.the two responses that I could see, with the original post not included in the count.? I could only see the original post by clicking "Show quoted text" on the response.? When the daily digest arrived I checked and there was indeed an earlier post that started the thread, and other members had responded to it.? Back on the website I could see the responses, but still not the original post.? Subsequent posts by the OP to the same topic did appear.

Today it has happened again on the same thread: on the digest I can see a long post by the original poster, but it doesn't appear on the website version and the message count for the topic hasn't gone up.

Anyone else had this happen?? Any ideas?

The only time I've seen something like that, the poster deleted the original message.? I'd bet that if you check the Activity log, you'll see that's what they did.? If not, it should still give you a clue what happened.

Thanks, you are right!? The original message was deleted after the responses were received.? Today's message was edited several times then deleted!?

Now I feel right daft for not checking the activity log!
