Message Recall Failure - anyone know what this is about?

Hi - a number of the members of one of my groups are getting messages titled 'Message recall Failure: Recall:...' which appear to relate to an earlier message by a member. When I look at the topic it has 32 replies but each of them just has a winmail.dat file attached (which I can't open) and there is no other indication of what's going on. Anyone got any idea what might have caused this? Has one of the members tried to recall a message somehow (and if so, any idea how)? Do I need to do anything to stop it or do I just delete the topic?
Thanks, Richard?

After a quick search, it looks to me like Recall is something in Outlook that works some small percentage of the time.? If there's no useful information, I'd just delete it and hope that whoever is doing it doesn't continue wasting time.? If you know who it is, you could put them on moderation until they give up.? And maybe a note to not do it again.

I encountered that when I worked for <redacted>. IIRC it used to send the recipient(s) a message notifying them that the originator had recalled the message and did they agree to its recall, which seems a bit self - defeating. I certainly cannot see it working with a system like Groups.io.

Ever.?
