member was unsubbed
A good member of mine was unsubbed because something went into her spam. I could not put her back. She had an awful time of this. She checks her spam every day. So I am not sure why this happened. I dont want to lose members because of this. Is there any way you can stop this from happening. I already have lost a few members who would not come back. I really love iogroups but this feature is very bad. Also the email photos I have to delete every day. These are two problems I have with yahoo.
Thanks Anita |

Anita, A good member of mine was unsubbed because something went into her spam. I could not put her back. She had an awful time of this. She should have been able to put herself back simply by clicking on a "resume" link in an email sent to here. I don't know why you would have a problem putting her back with Direct Add, if that's what you tried. She checks her spam every day. So I am not sure why this happened. The topic is covered pretty thoroughly here: I dont want to lose members because of this. Is there any way you can stop this from happening. There are no group settings for this; the member (and his/her email service) must stop it. Also the email photos I have to delete every day. ? You can have the oldest auto-deleted if your group is at storage capacity. In the Message Formatting section of your group's Settings page, choose Delete Old Attachments in the Out of Space control. Shal thanks. I never saw that resume link you mentioned. Where is that? Where is direct add? I do have that checked to delete old attachments when it gets close to the memory limit.
My problem is so many things go in this email photo folder and duplicates.? It picks up so many things as images that should not be picked up. For example a member puts these two orange dots by her name. Every time she writes a letter it is picked up as images. Thanks Anita? |

Anita,
I never saw that resume link you mentioned. Where is that?In the email notice sent to the member after they've been unsubscribed. Where is direct add? That's a Premium feature, but I don't know why Invite wouldn't work. Subject to the same concern about whether the person's email service will let them see anything from Groups.io. My problem is so many things go in this email photo folder andYeah, I know. Many group owners have found it to be a great inconvenience. My suggestion may have been overkill... ;-) Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |

Anita,
I might consider paying for the group. I would like to know what otherFor most groups I suspect the two biggest advantages are Direct Add and the increase in storage to 10 GB (free is 1 GB). See the pricing page for a comparison chart: /static/pricing Will the photos of the email folder be better? No, just bigger. Which I suppose could be better if it allows you to put off doing anything about it until after Mark implements a bulk delete... ;-) Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |
