Limited number of invites? #invitation

I didn't realize that there was a limited number of invitations that could be sent at one time?

I received this: "You have reached the limit for number of invites that can be sent out without approval. Once your new invites have been approved, they will be sent out. You will receive a notification when this happens."

There isn't. See?/g/GroupManagersForum/message/19699

Just wait. All of your invitations will be approved and go out soon.?

It seems pretty obvious to me that the text you have copied in your message clearly does NOT state that there is a limit to invites that can be sent at one time.
?
It clearly states that you've reached the limit that doesn't need to be approved.? I highlighted and italicized that below.
?
Invite 20 people in one day, no approval needed, 20 people invited.
Invite 20 people every day for five days, no approval needed, 100 people invited total.
Invite 100 people in a day, approval needed, 100 people invited total (after approval, which usually takes a few hours, but right now things are taking longer)

I just tried to upload a text file with my invites (2400 members), but I didn't get this message about reaching a maximum invite limit. ?I didn't see any confirmation of invitations being sent and none of them show up under sent invitations. ?Did it not go through? ?Should I try saving the text file in a different format?
Help!

Probably not.

Should I try saving the text file in a different format?
A flat text file is what you need. My guess is that the addresses are not in the correct format. Per the invitation page content, addresses need to look like this:

Display Name <email@ address.com>
? or simply
email@?address.com?(NO BRACKETS)

One per line, no commas, no Excel or CSV files, nothing like that. The following will NOT work:? <email@ address.com> (with no display name provided)

Hope this helps,
Bruce

Thanks Bruce. I uploaded it as a .prn file because that¡¯s how excel saved a space delimited file, maybe that was a problem. ?I may just end up cutting and pasting the whole thing instead so I can see it. ?I just expected an error message to pop up so I was confused as to what might have happened.

thanks for your help!
