Is it possible to have an image in a signature?
#images
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIf you use a E-Mail program, it works. Like mine "Thunderbird" it automatically adds the signature seen below.Joe WB9SBD The Original Rolling Ball Clock Idle Tyme Idle-Tyme.com On 2/8/2019 11:05 PM, Melektoth wrote:
Just wondering if there's a way to have an image in my personal signature in a group? I can't see a way to insert it, and it doesn't work if I drag and drop it into the editor either. Is this feature just not supported? |

You can, however, put an image in your group profile, which will appear with each message in the online message archive. See Subscription>Group Profile>Edit Group Profile. Sig line images sent to the group via email tend to proliferate in the Emailed Photos folder. Some group owners find this annoying. Regards, Bruce? -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |

It may the single most annoying feature that inconsiderate, self-centered peeps could blast members with, it not only being annoying to owners, but everyone else. ? Before considering doing that, imagine an active member posting 5-6x a day and having 2-3 pix in the sig (we USED TO have one w/ that.) ?100+ pics if nonsense a month. Count em 1200+ a yr.? As I said during the financial collapse, ¡°Simply because something is possible, and not illegal - doesn¡¯t necessarily make it a good idea to do.¡± |

¡±tend to¡± is being overly PC.Probably so...for most groups. At the same time, there are some groups here (e.g.: Incredimail) for which such things are an integral part of the group experience. For what it's worth, those who post animated gifs and other elaborate sig lines to GMF can expect to have them removed during moderation. I allowed Joe's to go through because an example seemed appropriate in this context.? Regards, Bruce -- The system Help is your friend.??/static/help |
