Invitation to join not being received

 

I sent an invite to someone with a Comcast email and got the error message- This account does not exist.? I checked the email from a resident directory and found out I have been given an incorrect email. I sent an invite to the correct email. I got ones for “processed” and “sent”. I actually did this twice. The invite is not showing under “sent invitations” and the potential subscriber has received nothing.
Any clue as to why the subscriber is not receiving the invite?

All 3 actions I took are shown in the activity log. Still no entry in “sent invitations “
 

I am concerned that Comcast has somehow banned groups.io for this person.
We tried Requesting a subscription by using the “group name+subscribe” option and Comcast returned a “permanent error “ refusal.
any ideas?

I have been able to get my user subscribed. Exactly what happened is a mystery. I asked the subscriber to go to groups.io where they got a notice that “membership pending”. This name then showed up on my pending member list and I was able to approve.

Is it a free (Basic) group? How many members do you have?

If you're around 100 members, weird things like this can happen. It could be you were able to add this new guy for no other reason than someone else started bouncing.

Hi Bruce,
we are a legacy group of now 1100 members that I migrated from yahoo in January 2018. I am hoping my problem was with Comcast and not groups.io. I’ve never had an invite to disappear into cyberspace. In the near future I’m sure I will be adding new members. We will see what happens.
