Improper use of #
There appears to be no way to moderate improper use of # without requiring all messages must have a hashtag. As I understand it, the option that only moderators can create hashtags is only effective if you check the box all messages must have hashtag. Is this correct? Wish we could moderate all improper uses of #. #forsale is correct, but we get # for sale or #forsale: or other permutations. If I correctly understand current options, I will go to support. GMF moderators, thanks for the great work you do. Ullmang |

Setting that to "Posts by subscribers can only be tagged with existing hashtags, otherwise the message is bounced." will enforce using only hashtags that have been predefined by a mod/owner.? You could also choose "Posts by subscribers can only be tagged with existing hashtags, new hashtags will be removed.", but that probably isn't what you want. Duane We have set?Posts by subscribers can only be tagged with existing hashtags, otherwise the message is bounced."? However?members are able to post incorrect hashtags and they do not bounce. Is this option not behaving as it should? Ullmang On Tue, Mar 26, 2019, 9:28 AM Duane <txpigeon@...> wrote: On Tue, Mar 26, 2019 at 08:15 AM, Ullman Garrett wrote: |

Will that meet your requirements? It's rather less brutal than bouncing messages with attempts to create new hashtags. Chris |

Are you sure that you've deleted all the 'incorrect' hashtags?? It seems like there was a distinct choice for "Only Moderators Can Create Hashtags" at one time, but I can't find it now.? Possibly the drop down replaced it. However, on the group I moderate I can create a hashtag, on this one I can't so I think the function has been rolled into the drop down as you suggested. Chris |

It showed up and was added to the hashtag list instead of bouncing.? Hopefully, Ullman has reported it and it will get fixed soon.
