Images lost in draft copy
#images
#drafts
Hello GMF members
?
I often save a draft message to work on later before publishing it.
I also often insert images into my posts but when a message with images is saved as a draft, and I then reopen it to edit, I get a warning like ?
?
Why is this and more importantly, is there a workaround to get drafts to save images?
Thanks in advance ?

*I've gotten this kind of error fetching a blob (Binary Large OBject) before. I've always attributed to one of the groups.io servers being down, because it tends to resolve itself within a few hours. Hasn't happened to me in a couple of years, though.

And therein lies the problem IMHO. I¡¯ve been burned by switching between devices and operating systems in my own capture & paste operations.
It seem to me groups.io is happiest with a jpeg formatted images. While PNG should be fine, Groups.io seems to choke at times, possibly having to do with the size of the blob. HEIC - not immediately going to happen. I don¡¯t even wish to know what graphics format Microsoft is trying to foist these days.
M$ lost me @ Win ME.

What Ken notes is something a lot of groups.io users (and users of mobile phones) apparently don't understand. If an image is imbedded in a message, it will be compressed. The only way to send an image and be certain it's not going to be altered by compression, is to make the file a separate attachment. It also amazes me how many mobile phone users don't understand this.
