Have you emailed ?support staff to see what's going on? I know that he will be on vacation soon, I forgot when so it might be maybe a week until he can help.

Good luck.

Having moved my group successfully about 3 weeks ago, I can tell you that nothing at my old site is gone. I did have to resubmit the transfer because some photos didn't make it, but they were transferred on the second go around.

Good luck, but from my experience, I would say it will work out.

Are you sure you targeted the correct Groups.io group? Another member of GMF reported that his transfer went to the wrong Groups.io group. I suspect user error, but maybe there's something more to it than that.

Have a look at other Groups.io group which you own and see if the content landed in the wrong group.

I don't know what to tell you about the Yahoo Group. The transfer agent makes no changes to your Yahoo Group, so maybe that's just a glitch on Yahoo's end and your content will reappear. Or maybe you're signed out of Yahoo, or signed in with the wrong account?

Are you sure you are logged in, at either Yahoo or here? Try logging out and logging back in again.

Did groups.io email you a summary? It should have told you how many members, messages, etc were transferred along with a list of those that it wasn't able to move. If you haven't received this transfer summary then the move is probably still underway.

Another possibility is that Yahoo itself had a massive system crash that lost all that information before the transfer agent even got there. In that case it's not surprising that nothing got moved. Based on your description of the symptoms, this seems like the most plausible explanation.

I am assuming here that you made the transfer agent a Moderator (NOT an Owner), and with view-only permissions (per the transfer instructions). With those permissions it is not possible for the agent to delete your Yahoo group content.?

If I were you, I would contact Yahoo and ask them where your group went. If they can restore it from a backup you should be able to submit your request to the transfer agent again.

Just some ideas,
Bruce

This is hours later and things are just as I described below.?

Can you give us the group IDs at Yahoo and here so we can take a look?

I understand that when you're in a panic it may be difficult to slow down and work things through carefully. But to help you figure this out we really need more information from you.

I was going to suggest something similar, it sounds like Dash might be subscribed to the group with two different accounts. One where they are a owner/moderator and one where they are just a member. Just a suggestion.

It is possible that things did not transfer because they were not available at Yahoo at that time. The last time (before we moved) Yahoo "lost" my files and photos - and yes, it looked just like you are describing: nothing there - it took about 10 days for them to show up again. It may have nothing to do with the transfer, whole sections of Y!G just disappear and reappear randomly. :(

Is Concierge Service still accepting issues from that guy? Because for
most of this year, and maybe even parts of last year, that was the only
way to get anything fixed.

If they can restore it from a backup
Yahoo knows what a backup is ?!?!?!

Since all has suddenly gone silent on this front, I'm suspecting user error of the login variety.
