I would like to take some of those who were moderators in my old yahoo group and make them moderators or co-owners in this new group that we are replacing it with.? How do I do that?

Here is how. There is also a cautionary note in the wiki page. That being said, there are advantages with having a second person in case something happens to the sole owner.
