If you have groups that you created a few years ago, you might consider repurposing them - changing the name, etc.
See the overview of features in free groups depending on whether you have a legacy group or not:
/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/25069

You can also promote your group - see
/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/17028

If you choose to delete the group,?
Deleting a group
In the left navigation menu on the group¡¯s website, select Admin > Settings to display the main Settings page.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Look for and click the red Delete Group button on the right-hand side.
Follow the resulting instructions.
Note: After a group is deleted, its name cannot be reused (unless someone specifically contacts Groups.io support and asks to be able to use the name again). If you think you might want to use that group name again or make it available for others to use, rename the group to some nonsense name before you delete it.

About the Help - yes, I would prefer a search too. But I can find the info. Try using "single page" layout.

Go to Admin > Settings, and on the lower right you'll see a red "Delete Group" button.

Click the link that says "View this manual as a single page."

You can then use your browser's normal "find" function to search of relevant information. In most browsers I've used, Ctrl-F will bring that up.

Thanks!? I just did repurpose for a new one I created today and I think i will park the other since it has extra bennies I didn't realize have been removed for new groups

Frances,
? Mentions the concept of repurposing Basic (Free, pre 2020) lists.? I see that as having considerably value compared to deletion.? New Basic lists
have dramatically reduced benefits.? Two are affecting current lists as well.. Photo Admin administration is gone for new lists, but that means there
is no enthusiasm for more tools to administrate photo directories.? When there is a need for tools to delete old photos.? (e.g. bulk deletions such as by photo album
name, creation date, owner, etc...) are useful for most lists, just not Basic lists trying to stay under 1 GB free image storage.

One list I joined encouraged storage of images by message instead of photo Album creation.? They now have 1GB of e-male images, cannot store in photo albums,
and cannot do a bulk delete of old e-mail images.? Worse the e-mail photo albums contain multiples of images in replies to the first message.? While images in messages
can be prevented in settings as well as size; mistakes made cannot be later corrected.? How about a one time only resize of the e-mail photo album image to a smaller size,
unlimited resized to 488 pixels could save some legacy lists.

Last year if upgraded, a Basic legacy list of nearly 2000 subscribers to Premium before a price increase would cost nearly $900,? It was clear that my list had become a major free loader
getting a free service valued at current pricing at nearly $900.? we were only using 25% of the 1 GB image capacity.? The upgrade had no benefit to subscribers;?
Long term it may make groups.io a litter stronger financially by one less free loader

I belong to a similar size list that did not control message images and now can no longer store in personal photo albums.? Upgrade to $900/a year premium status is a non-starter,
but repurposing an idle list would allow creation of a shadow list with image size and storage limitations, in effect a new start for free.
