I am not quite sure what you mean, but first, go to Admin, Settings. You will see your description. You can edit this. Be sure to save changes. I went to Settings and the Wiki.? I was unable to figure it out.?? The description at?/g/FordEagles?only allows one line. GMF and other sites enable multiple lines in the description (as shown in the circled area of the provided attachment) and quoted here: "Would you like to be a better Owner and/or Moderator??We discuss our experiences as Owners and Moderators, share our ideas for promoting and customizing content areas, and offer various techniques for managing groups.?We strive to provide a resource of the?highest quality?for Owners and Moderators alike.? Use the links in the column to the left to access our public content.?See especially our?Wiki?section - it contains a collection of tutorial and reference information for group members as well as for group moderators and owners. Don't miss the search box at the top right of that page to help zero in on the information you need. You may also use the search feature our?Messages?section to see if there is any discussion about your questions. If you don't find what you need, please?Join?GMF and ask. This?Group Managers Forum?(GMF) was founded as a sister to the??for Yahoo! Groups owners, with the same management but this one is focused on Groups.io instead of Yahoo! Groups." I am trying to figure out how to add text in a similar fashion? David Peters On Mon, Dec 9, 2019 at 2:28 PM Frances <frances@...> wrote: On Mon, Dec 9, 2019 at 02:13 PM, David Peters wrote: |

Okay, first are you logged in as owner? Or moderator with the right permissions (I think this works. A moderator needs to be able to modify group settings to do this.) What does it say in the top left corner? Owner?? Go to Admin, Settings. There is a box labelled Description. Type there. If you open the Advanced Toolbar hidden beneath the regular toolbar) you get more styles, fonts, etc. You need to save at the bottom of the page. If you can't do this, and you are the owner, logged in with the correct email address, some of your settings are wrong. Or your browser, perhaps? You can put in hyperlinks, bold or italicize, align centre or whatever, use special characters, text colour and more. Can you post a screenshot of your Settings page, showing the Description box as per this example: This example has about 14 lines in the Description; some of them contain hidden text for use as keywords for anyone carrying out a search. There appears to be some position: absolute or other style directives messing things up, such that content is lying on top of each other. David -- If you are cutting-and-pasting from a Word document or some other web site, don't. Clear everything out and edit your Description using the editor's own menu tools. Bruce |
I am listed as Moderator in the top left corner. I have entered a Description.? It shows up in the middle of the Group Info and Settings area rather than above it.? I did paste this from another site.? So potentially that caused the issue. I could delete this and manually input the text I suppose.? Or is there another way to clean it up and restart? It was the formatting that I pulled in that was messing my page up.? Thank you for your patience and help.??
I was able to update the page to look like I wanted it to.

Looks good. The links to bylaws, constitution are clickable. You might want to reconsider this and put them in Files in your group. A style thing - I would take the underlining off your club name. Underlining usually means clickable. And off Pride of Ownership.? With Advanced Toolbar, you can add formatting to these two, including colour!
