Hello I have a few questions?
Debbie
1.What can I do to delete old mail from when I first opened my group on group .io ?
2. My second one is that someone has hacked my group accounts a few times. Now its getting old the person Banned me and locks me out. Any ideas I have changed my password. I got a silent email address in there now that nobody knows so I can put myself back in but its a pain in the u know what? 3. If you have other owners/ mods and they all the sudden they removed there? self from the group but now is bothering your member's to join there group, is there away you can get someone into trouble.? I have a few groups its not a big group of mine but one of my smaller ones and there older ladies they do not want there email's tossed around what can I do for them? Thank you Debbie |

See?? If you click the Date button at upper right before doing so, you can change sort order so the older topics appear first. Be careful when doing this, as there is no way to undo it if you make a mistake. Be advised that messages do *not* count against your storage quota, if that's a concern. 2. I have not actually done it so I don't know what's involved...perhaps others can provide further advice.? 3. If someone is misbehaving within your group, as the group owner you can of course put them on moderation or ban them. If such interaction is occurring by email (i.e.: outside of the groups.io service), there is little that groups.io can do. I am appending a relevant section from the groups.io Terms of Service.? Hope this helps, Bruce User DisputesYou agree that you are solely responsible for your interactions with any other user in connection with the Service and Groups.io will have no liability or responsibility with respect thereto. Debbie,
1.What can I do to delete old mail from when I first opened my groupWhat Bruce said. Note that while the messages themselves do not count toward you're group's usage, any attachments or embedded photos do. You can delete those from the message by editing it, while leaving the text content in place, if that helps manage your storage, and doesn't completely void the meaning/utility of the message. The photos can be found and deleted through the Emailed Photos album in your groups' photos section. The other attachments though you have to delete by individually editing the messages which have them. 2. My second one is that someone has hacked my group accounts a fewThat's a fairly serious situation. It shouldn't be possible for someone else to gain access to your Groups.io account, unless they also have access to your inbox at your email service - which could cause you much more trouble than just getting banned from a group. Or unless you pick very poor passwords. Now its getting old the person Banned me and locks me out. This confuses me. If they banned you by access to your account, then they've banned their own access as well. So it must be the case that the person has a separate subscription to your group with owner or moderator role. You should be able to see that in your Group's Members list by choosing the Moderator list. At the very least you could go to the Activity log and see who banned you, once you're back in. I got a silent email address in there now that nobody knows so I canThis is also confusing because if the person has Admin access to your group then they'd see your "silent" address in the Moderators list. On the whole, it sounds like there's more to the story (or less) than you've describe so far. 3. If you have other owners/ mods and they all the sudden they removedYou certainly can demote, remove, or even ban the person (assuming you've regained ownership role in your group). But as far as Groups.io is concerned only a violation of the Terms of Service would "get someone in trouble". Maybe the person has violated item 6 in the User Conduct section of the ToS: "[You agree to not use the Service to:] harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Service by electronic or other means for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or other unsolicited communications;" That's basically a "no spamming" rule, but maybe this person's actions in "bothering" your members would qualify as spamming them. Also, if he's "bothered" them on-list it would be a violation of item 1(v), which is about on-list spamming. ... its not a big group of mine but one of my smaller ones andOther than being careful who you let into your group, and especially who you give the owner or moderator role, I don't think so.
