Having trouble emailing new topics (was: Trying to reach out to Mark, forgive me for the OT)

Hello Mark

I wrote you on the support list a couple of times. Not sure if you had a chance to get to them.

But I am having difficult posting to a group where I am the moderator. I can reply back to a post and I will get my reply back;however I can not send a new e mail to the group

The owner and I can not figure out why.

Thank you and I am sorry for posting this on the wrong list. I am leaving out of town on Friday and I wanted to clear this up before I left, if possible.

I appreciate that.

You say "I will get my reply back" if you reply to a post, so is it just that you're not receiving an email copy of your new message? Or do you mean your email message is actually being returned to you as undeliverable? If it's being returned to you, what is the message giving as reason (for example, "you are not a member of this group")??It seems you're saying you're unable to post via email. What about via the web?

This type of request would also be off-topic for beta@, so I won't suggest trying to reach Mark there. For this problem either one of the user-to-user help groups or [email protected] is your best approach.

I'm betting on user-to-user help, though there is a possibility that the problem can only be resolved with information that only Mark can access (e.g. Groups.io server logs).

Given that you are a mod in the group, I suggest reviewing the group's Activity pages to see if there are any clues about your missing email posts there. Tell us what you find if you have any question about what it means.

Hi

No.

The group is [email protected]

If someone post to this group, I can reply to it and no problem. I even get my own reply sent back to me just fine.

The issue is when I try to send a e mail to: [email protected]

It will not go through.

I will get a ¡°mail demon¡± returned saying that my e mail was not deliverable for some odd reason.

The last one I sent was a simple ¡°thank you¡± for having the owner post a recipe for me because I couldn¡¯t post and I got that post back stating ¡°no attachments are allowed¡± there were no attachments just a thank you.

It is the only group that this is happening to.

I am a moderator for other groups and I own 2 and this has never happened to me.

I just fine it odd that it¡¯s the only group.

I just don¡¯t know but I am open to receive suggestions on how to fix this.
