Guidelines link

I've noticed that the link (/g/GROUPNAME/guidelines) to my group's Guidelines (which is set to Private) brings us to the / homepage if a member is not logged in, hence the member needs to log in and then enter that Guidelines link, or click on the group's Guidelines tab before going to the Guidelines page.
However, the link to one of my group's wiki page (also Private) brings us to the "Log In" page /login?r=%2Fg%2FGROUPNAME%2Fwiki%2FWIKIPAGETITLE which brings us to the correct wiki page once the member has logged in. Is it reasonable to request the same behavior for the Guidelines link i.e. to go to the "Log In" page, then straight to Guidelines page once the member has logged in?

FYI, in the links above, I've replaced my group name and the wiki page title with GROUPNAME, and WIKIPAGETITLE.

Thanks.
Lily

If you don't mind the public seeing them, you could set the Group Guidelines and/or Wiki so that they're visible without being logged in.? If you do want folks to be logged in to see them, then you should suggest on beta that the login follow through to the Group Guidelines page like Wiki does.

Thanks, Duane. It's not critical, but I will suggest it on beta.
