Groups.io site updates - transfer progress for prior requests?

Is this 'track the progress of transfers' available ONLY to new transfers or in my case--I requested the transfer of my group on the 20th--can I check the progress of my transfer? If so, where do I go to CHECK the progress. Thanks.

Subject: [GMF] Groups.io site updates #changelog

Hi all,

This week's change log:

Feel free to reply to this topic if you'd like to comment on the changes. Or better yet, if you expect a lot of discussion start a new topic (or rejoin an existing one) about a specific change.

This is the headliner, at least for anyone getting ready to transfer a Yahoo Group. I happened across it shortly after it went live, and "you heard it here first"!

Alas, it doesn't tell you where you are in the queue, which may still be several days long, but at least you have confirmation that your request was entered and your "Go" was received.

This is nice. Hopefully we'll never need it again ;-)

Comments about these others are also welcome:

> CHANGE: Added meta headers to the maintenance page to hopefully
> prevent caching.
> CHANGE: Reduce the max size of a group name to 32 characters to avoid
> potential DNS issues.
> BUGFIX: For a specific PDF, pdftotext would hang during processing.
> This would cause our search ingestion to time out. Now we kill that
> process if it takes too long.
> BUGFIX: If someone is logged into an enterprise group's domain, but
> they are not subscribed to any groups, and the enterprise group is
> set to only allow access to subscribed members, that created an
> endless redirect loop. Now we automatically log out the person in
> this situation.

Please call out any you find significant.

Harlan,

Is this 'track the progress of transfers' available ONLY to new
transfers
I don't know, but I suspect "yes".

... or in my case--I requested the transfer of my group on the
20th--can I check the progress of my transfer? If so, where do I go
to CHECK the progress.
If you click on the "Easy Group Transfer" link at the bottom of any page, then click on Yahoo Group Instructions that should bring up the new instructions.

Scroll to the very bottom and on the left is a green button to Start New Transfer. On the right is an "In Process" box with a drop-list of your "in process" groups. Select one of those to see its status.

The thing is, this form and that In Process list are tied to your current log in at Groups.io. Whereas the old process, up to the moment you sent in the "Go" email was not. So the question is whether Mark was able to take all those outstanding Go requests and add them to this mechanism.

I don't know, but if you have a look perhaps you'll be able to give us an answer, at least for your case.

FWIW, the status isn't particularly exciting. If you haven't clicked Go it says so, and offers the opportunity to update your request as well as the Go button. If you have clicked "Go" it says that you have, and your request options are disabled (can no longer be updated). It does not show the one thing I'd like to see - either an ETA or a raw count of groups ahead of me in line.
