Gmail warning #email #gmail

If I mail to a group, then my message gets flagged?by Gmail when I receive it back.?
I get a warning: "Be careful with this message. This may?be a spoofed message. This message claims to have been sent from your account, but (xxx) couldn't verify the actual source. (etc)"
Gmail gives me an option to say it "looks safe" but the next message gets treated the same. I wonder whether thgis one will?
Martin?

Gmail must have made another change.? Mark had implemented a change to get around this a couple of weeks ago,

They all will.

As Duane said, this problem cropped up a few weeks ago with Gmail and Groups.io made a change to work around it.

I'm guessing that the work-around isn't working for you because Groups.io doesn't recognize your email domain as actually being serviced by Gmail (that's an expected problem with custom domains).

I'd suggest sending a note to [email protected] asking that your domain be added to the Gmail work-around. I don't know if they're keeping a list of additional domains, but that seems like the only solution to me.

I am having the same issue. I get a "Gmail return" for all posts to our io.groups forum, including my own posts.??

I haven't changed any settings, either to my own account or as a moderator. I checked to see that this was the case.
I hope Mark will re-attack this issue as it's a problem for anyone with high volumes of email. Thanks.

I'm thinking it's time for Gmail users to complain to GMail also... since it's Gmail that set a default behavior that I bet causes more problems than receiving a copy of mail you send. Ask Gmail to provide an option not to get those notices. They're the ones causing the problem.

It isn't happening with all gmail users
I?use gmail and have message sent back to me and I haven't gotten any of those notices.
No one in my groups have said anything about them getting any kind of notices either.
?
Also I have another gmail email address?that I use for some IO groups.
This email address doesn't get back it's own messages and I still haven't gotten any of the notices. ?

my own posts.
What do you mean by a "Gmail return"?

I am having the same issue.
Are you sure?

The warning we've been talking about has a screenshot here:
/g/GroupManagersForum/message/13433

Is that what you mean by a "return"? Or something else?

I am having the exact same problem. All messages I send to one of my groups gets flagged by gmail when it is sent back to me. This is not an @gmail.com account, but business account with @domainame.com that runs through the gmail servers. Could that make a difference?

I use a gmail account and have not received any messages like that.
I have my messages sent to me. All seems to be fine.

It could be your settings on your computer that is causing that.
