FW: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

I just got this back after trying to send an email to my own group, via my mail program.
What do the errors mean and why would this happen?

Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

The following message to <[email protected]> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 500-'Invalid request, no reverse DNS for 203.59.1.107'

It means that when GIO tried to verify the identity of the sending server, it didn't find a Reverse DNS entry for 203.59.1.107.? It might be a temporary condition or the server may be misconfigured.

I have been dealing with the "No Reverse DNS" error for over a month now. The Reverse DNS is configured properly and present. My ISP checked for me as well and also confirmed it was properly configured. IT was posted here and also confirmed it was properly configured.-- Yet the Error bounces continued. Mark apparently "increased the delay time" for the check and it helped a lot! Instead of getting them numerous times per day it is not only a few times per day (2-5 times) as opposed to 20-30 times before. Yet is still persists. The fact a change was made and it notably?produced results would tell you that the change could be the heart of the problem... even though I've seen it blamed on everything else.

UPDATE: Even though this was supposed to be worked on, and it appeared some progress was being made which told me they were working on the right things, nothing has changed since and the error still remains. The members are asking me to change to a different group regardless of how?much I am insisting we d not. But I can't make excuses forever. I wish there was something I could do to help on this end, but there isn't.

Have you reported it to [email protected]?? GIO is reporting the error, so something is wrong between your email service and GIO.? I still think it's on your end because no one else is reporting such problems.

This message is generated locally at the sender's server. WBennett or colleague was sending email to Groups.io. From WBennett's report, the error was produced at westnet.com.au. Their server didn't like the [email protected]. WBennett should issue the commands listed . This will use his default DNS server, probably at westnet.com.au. If it fails, he should take that report to westnet support.

In Randall's case it's unclear. Insufficient information is not provided, so it is impossible to tell whether the error occurred sending from Groups.io (e.g., an invitation or message), or sending from a subscriber to Groups.io. Randall will have to determine this and take action considering that the error message is generated at the sender?end.

Yes I've reported the "no Reverse DNS" error to mark two months ago. Mark said it was a "delay for the look up" which he altered and it made an immediate difference (better) but still is occurs. This tells you it indeed had something to do with the GIO setting.?And if you do a search on "No reverse DNS" here you'll see more than a few reported this same error. In fact you replied the same thing to?the ones I saw as you did here. You blamed it on Outlook.
