What does ?edit archives“ mean exactly?

In the context of Moderator Permissions it refers to the ability to edit messages that have been posted in the group's Messages pages.

I'm not certain if it affects the moderator's ability to edit anything else.

Shal, thank you for the explanation. I wasn?t sure because in other places the term "archives" was changed into "messages".
