Customizing invitations
>> I would love to be able to compose an invitation from scratch.
You already can. Just go to Admin->Settings and click on "member notices." Create your custom invitation, make it active, and save it. /static/help#membernotices |

That won't really work because the email won't include a link for them to click on to accept membership. On Wed, Mar 7, 2018 at 7:58 AM, Bruce Bowman <bruce.bowman@...> wrote: >> I would love to be able to compose an invitation from scratch. |
Sara,
On invitations you can only customize part of the message body, the rest is boilerplate you cannot change. I use the Horizontal line button in the advanced formatting toolbar to make my part stand out: Salutation, Custom message by me with as much detail as seems appropriate to the group or individual being invited. Closing, Signature That way the include part reads like a complete stand-alone message. This doesn't help the folks who need an entirely non-English invitation though. I've followed your instructions but can't find how to make it active.Jill -- You have to select one each time invitations are sent by pulling down the "Notices" menu below the "Customize Message" editor. There is no "active" checkbox.? If you'd like the ability to set a default, please say so in my active topic on the beta group ().? Have you used the owners' manual to review the correct process? It's covered at?/helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/inviting-people-to-join-a-group/overview?single=true Bob Bellizzi |
