Color of wiki links #wiki

I am building wiki pages for my group. My first attempt at this. Some on the links on the wiki pages are blue and some are gray. I have visited all the pages so that doesn't seem to be the reason.?
Why the two different colors??
Thanks.?

Sandi,

My first attempt at this. Some on the links on the wiki pages are blue
and some are gray. I have visited all the pages so that doesn't seem
to be the reason.
That is the reason.

The link coloring is a browser function that compares the URL of the link to your browsing history. The specific colors are set by the style sheet for the page. I'm not sure why some of your links are showing in non-visited color, it may be due to a page cache issue or maybe part of your history has been cleared.

I stumbled on the answer today as I was editing them. Turns out that as soon as I edit a page, it shows upmas a blue link. It will revert to gray as soon as I visit the edited page.?
Your response was helpful.?

Depending on monitor contrast levels, it can be very difficult to see the difference between grey links and normal text.

In terms of accessibility, like for users with reduced vision, this is a real problem that could be easily fixed with higher contrast color.? ?

Nothing we can do about it, we're just site users like you.? The site doesn't actually change the colors, it's your browser doing that.? The site doesn't yet keep track of which pages/links/messages you've visited, though it's on the list of things to do.

Most browsers can be configured to display user-defined colors for links. Both regular links and those that have been viewed. Worth checking your browser.

As Duane said, GMF is a user-to-user forum, no Groups.io employees here. To make that suggestion to Groups.io, use the beta forum:

While your browser is keeping track of which pages have been visited and not, and there are default colors for this, a web site can and Groups.io does set a style preference for the colors used.

Some sites set them the same color to deliberately avoid showing different link colors, and Groups.io used to do that in the wiki pages.
