Can't pre-approve upload messages

So this is kind of a pain.

I, as the owner of the group, uploaded a file and clicked on notify members.

I then get a message like the one below. Note in the subject line that it says that main@ is posting not me. On previous emails, if I go to the approval window and click "approve and unmoderate senders" that does not unmoderate main@ and I get the same message for the next file I upload.

This is a all-message moderated but not announce-only group.

Thoughts welcome.

If that's the case, why does it give me the button to unmoderate senders. I thought that created a whitelist.

From the Owners Manual, "Approve & Unmoderate Senders - Approve the selected pending messages and set their senders to Use Group Moderation Settings."? No white list.

Huh, okay thanks.

Maybe I should petition beta@ to allow groups to add #file-notice to the list of non-moderated hashtags.

Unless you've changed it, the hashtag isn't moderated.? Doesn't really make any difference if it is or not since all messages are moderated on your group.

I was referring to making it like:

The only system hashtags that bypass the group moderation setting are #guidelines-notice and #monthly-notice

Those aren't moderated because they're time sensitive.? All the other notifications can be approved whenever you get to them.? As long as the Moderated setting for the hashtag works, it shouldn't make any difference for my groups though.? I've got all notification hashtags moderated (and almost always delete them.)? I also set them to Mod Use Only so they don't show up in the hashtag drop down when members post online, eliminating their misuse.

More weirdness.

Another member of the group uploaded a file and that message did not require approval. So, it is only when I (not sure if that's me or the owner of the group) uploads a file that an approval is required.

That seems backwards.
