Calendar Reminder Not Being Sent


 

Hi,
I have three calendar reminders for today Nov 22. They are all-day events.
The two were sent (5 min before) to the group but the other one was not ( supposed to be sent 1 min before start).??
What is the problem here?

Pls help, we just created this group and we just left Yahoo Group because of the problem with calendar reminders not being sent.

Check the online message archive. Does the 1-minute #cal-reminder appear there? If so, the problem is with email delivery, not the calendaring system itself.

The event reminder was sent 6:59am? of Nov. 22.? The reminder was set to kick off at 1 minute before - i.e. 11:59pm of Nov 21.

What could account for the delay?

The seven hour offset suggests a time-zone issue.

I'm not entirely certain if All-Day events work differently with respect to time zone, but you should take a look into the event (edit it from the calendar page) and compare its Time Zone setting to that listed on your Account's Preferences page.

Each event has a time zone (which ought to be set according to the location of the event, but defaults to the time zone of the member that created the event). Each member's account also has a time zone. Event notices and reminders are normally adjusted according the time zone of the receiving member.

The timezone for both the calendar event and my account is set to Eastern Time (US).? The event in question is an all day event.

I have two other events for that day which are also all-day event and their reminders were sent out correctly.

I suspect it's related to the very close timing of the reminder, but can't be sure.? Rather than use a reminder that close to the beginning of an all day event, maybe you could try using the "Send Notice To Group When Event Happens" option.? That appears to get posted just before the day starts.
