This is a recent problem since April (I hoped it was a glitch that would
adjust)

I have file that I used to update monthly, but the last couple of months it
won't do so, nor will it delete. It gives a confirmation message but it
doesn't do the delete.

I have to upload the new file with a different name, no problem there.

I can delete an unwanted message with no difficulty. In the messages area it
has a dropdown options menu but that doesn't appear in the files section,
just the icons which I've always used before.

Any suggestions?

I just did a test and had no problem updating or deleting a file as owner.? I didn't try it as moderator.

I doubt this would be of any help, but how about renaming the old file first,
then upload your new replacement for the old one? If there's any value of
tracking changes from before, you'd have a handy reference there.

Well, I find I can delete the files using the android app, but it's not easy to navigate to the files. I had to follow an upload message link to get there.

At least I know how to get rid of the old file next month if the update function still isn't working.
