anybody not getting cc'd back on their messages to support?

J_Catlady

I sent a message about a possible bug to the support address tonight, and for the first time ever, I did not get the usual cc back to me, with the "your ticket" thing. Wondering if there's a bug, and more importantly, whether Mark will receive the message or should I resend. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think this started after he dropped Zendesk

If I read his message correctly, he moved the help pages off of Z, not the support/emails, . I know I got one about a month ago.

Hmmm. Not sure what to think. I guess I'll just wait and see if he responds. Problem is that this is something i've emailed him about several times in the past and not heard back, and I don't wait to be a pest (as if it's not too late for that lol;)

Just a note that you can login to zendesk to see your requests ->?

I forget exactly how I setup my zendesk account but I think you just create it with the same email used on groups.io.

Toby, that's very odd. I went to that link and there's a place to "sign in to groups.io" (not "sign into zendesk") - it looks like it's asking for my groups.io account. Though I was already signed into groups.io, I tried to sign in anyway, and it didn't recognize me. So this UI needs to say something besides "sign into groups.io," first off. Second, thanks, I've never heard of signing into zendesk or any of that. Can someone clue ?me in?

Boy, that UI is really terrible. I just found something where you can enter your email address and get a password "if you've contacted us before" and they will send instructions. I did that but there was another page with "new to groups.io?" etc. Very confusing and seems like a mess. Anyway, I just got an email back
welcoming me as someone "new to groups.io" (I've been here several years lol). Wonder what happens next...

Haha it just logged me in and welcomed me as a "new member of groups.io." But I can't find the list of my bug reports.... Will keep playing around with this for awhile.?

The pull down menu under your name should have My Activities option which takes you to a page of requests.
On mobile, there's a big button that says "My requests"
Mark ought to have a help topic on viewing your support tickets.

Yes, it's there. Thanks. I had no idea that any of this existed. And the UI really needs fixing....the "log into " and saying I'm "new to " when I've been a member of and am already logged in, etc.

Also, the bug I recently sent to support is not showing up, as I suspected. I'll email Mark again.

Thanks much!

No, I think the confusion there is that it is asking you to sign in to the groups.io support area (at zendesk). A little bit as if on Y! or Groups.io you were being asked to sign in to a group name rather than the service as a whole.

I don't use Zendesk, so I don't know their setup. Possibly you need a separate sign-in for each support area?
