Messages to the owner are in the Member page under "+owner messages." J On Fri, Jan 5, 2018 at 8:04 AM, Norman C. Berns <ncberns@...> wrote: Where do I find messages sent to main+owner@...??Can't seem to find it. |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýShould that not in theory just be the email you signed up with, that is if you are logged into with jane@... would that not be the owner address for all of your groups? I'm ?guessing but that has ben my experience so far with other groups I've run on verious platforms

The answer to "who receives the message" is all moderators whose "Owner Email" boxes are checked, all or in part. ? -- J |
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOh. Yeah ?I always do tings via email, I never use the website for such things so if someone wants to email the owner address and we all get it in our inboxes that's good enough for me. I can take care of any problems on the road.Take care

I am supposing you are the group owner.? If not you cannot view owner messages. If you log into your group, look on the left bars.? You will see a tab for Admin.? This will show you any pending messages or members. That is the only place?I am aware of.? I am sure there are any other number of places to look I am unaware of. Doug? Thanks all for the quick responses. I've found it all now (at least some of it), but no doubt I'll have new questions tomorrow. ? In quick observation, I find the new groups powerful and complex, but with a plethora of commands tucked in places I'd never think to look. Obviously I should look harder, but mouse-overs or pop-up options would make things so much easier. Wonder if there's an online guide to using the groups? It's probably too early to ask for that, but I'm already getting questions from group members who seem (almost) as befuddled as I.? Norman ? ? ? ? ?Norman C. Berns ? ? ? ? ? Norman,
Wonder if there's an online guide to using the groups? It's probablyIn addition to the official Help page that J mentioned, have a look at GMF's Wiki: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/home The Wiki is intended as a supplement to the help pages, rather than a replacement, but in some cases it also fills in details that perhaps should eventually get into the help pages. Feel free to copy and modify the Wiki content for your own group's needs, and feel especially free to contribute content to the GMF wiki. If you've written instructions or tutorials for your own group please consider adapting them to the broader audience here. And yes, feel free to post messages in GMF with comments, suggestions and (hopefully constructive) criticism about the GMF Wiki contents. As is always the case with a volunteer effort, some pages are bound to lag behind the evolving reality of Groups.io, and others may not be clear or comprehensive enough - so everyone's help in proofreading is welcome.
