bouncing around

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hi all

Ok, so I just had to send every single one of my members a pro bounce note, to unbounce themselves.

This is he secnd time I do this with in the hour

Id it because of today being the last day of yahoo¡¯s e mail groups?

I¡¯m not trying to be difficult, just wondering how long will this go on

Thanks for all you do

Sugar

Seems to me that sending additional emails -- bounce probes or otherwise -- to email accounts that aren't accepting them isn't going to accomplish much.?

That seems unlikely.

See??

It will be fixed when Google gets its act together. There is no way to know exactly when that might be.

Bruce

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

There appears to be a problem outside the groups.io scene at the moment where perfectly good gmail addresses are bouncing because the gmail server says they do not exist.

?

Hopefully the second Google problem in two days will be speedily resolved. ? describes the first outage, which seems to have been self-inflicted rather than the result of malicious outside actors.

Hi Sugar, who knows how long it will last. I have only been bounced once since this whole thing started. However, I got to bounce probes for some strange reason.

Like Sugar, I sent a bounce probe to about 125 GMF members whose GMail accounts were Bouncing this morning. This was under the assumption that Google had actually fixed the problem that was said to have occurred "yesterday."?

Unfortunately, it proved to be a waste of time. Please wait for the issue to be remedied...and avoid repeating my mistake.

I have been bouncing (and re-setting each time) constantly all day. Non-GroupsIO messages are coming through with no issue. I can't even approve messages in the group...I'll approve one, then my account is set back to bouncing, and I have to re-set it again before I can approve the next one.
?
Any ideas? I'm not a member/owner of that many groups, and only this one gets any significant traffic.
?
Thanks!

Maybe change your email address to a different email provider.
