Question about Backups
Hello Moderators,
? ?I'm a new moderator for a 700-person group and have a question about backups.? We've just converted over from Yahoo Groups but did not try to transfer over historical Yahoo postings. ? ?We have two moderators with owner permissions, so we are backed up that way. ? ?However, reading through the Groups.io forums, I see references to people doing what appear to be file backups of messages, images, and membership lists. ? ?Is it necessary to do our own backups of messages, images, and membership lists?? My expectation is that that is something Groups.io should be already doing for the entire platform. ? ?Thanks, ? ? ? ? Jim Sterken |

Is it necessary to do our own backups of messages, images, and membership lists?? My expectation is that that is something Groups.io should be already doing for the entire platform.I'm sure that groups.io has made provision for redundant storage of server data so as to recover from hardware failures. To my knowledge, there is no such provision to restore a group to a previous state, or otherwise be failsafe from user errors. ?
