Print a member list?

I'm not seeing a way to print our current member list. That's because there is no direct way of doing it. ... our president wants to see the list on paper. Not everyone is techyI suggest that you persuade your president to become a bit techy. The only available option means quite a bit more work for you as Owner, as follows: From the Members List click on Download. This will give you a CSV file that needs to be opened as a spreadsheet that includes information about joining date, delivery options, posting status and the like. Printing the spreadsheet in that form will guzzle paper to include all the probably extraneous information so it may be necessary to delete all the irrelevant columns first. Even with the largely irrelevant material removed you are likely to finish up with a lot of paper being used, depending on how many members you have. In your position I would say "sorry", you are going to have to process this material for yourself, and here's how... Chris |
Tamra, I know there will be rolling of eyes by many on this wonderfully knowledgeable group, but I¡¯ve used the very low tech method of opening the member list online, and just printing the screen!? Not a very pretty list (with all the other page clutter), but it works.? Of course, even with my small group I have to repeat that multiple times for each page of names, so it wouldn¡¯t be too convenient for a larger group.? And probably not what your president would want.? But thought I¡¯d mention it for anyone like me who just wants a paper list! Low tech Dotty ? [Anti-virus ad removed by Moderator] |

If you have access to 'awk' (pretty much standard on all Unix and Unix-like systems, but there are also Windows ports floating around), you can just have it print the colums you want from the download.? i.e. to print the name of the member (2nd column), and their email address (1sts column), 1st download memberlist.csv, then:? awk -F, '{print $2,$1}' memberlist.csv?
