New io group not activated

? On December 4th I started a new group for a replacement of the Yahoo group for the SONY shortwave radio the ICF-2010....??/g/SonyICF20102001Dusergroup

I thought I sent the right email to have the files, photos and documents transferred but to date it shows nothing even though the red message shows the group will go live when the files are transferred. I was to believe this would take a few days but it has been a week. Any ideas?
? Also need to know the transfer of all messages if that can be done?

Thanks Rod aka poikaa@...

Rod,

I thought I sent the right email to have the files, photos and
documents transferred but to date it shows nothing even though the red
message shows the group will go live when the files are transferred.
I think that's a sign that you sent the correct email to start the process.

I was to believe this would take a few days but it has been a week.

I don't know. It may be that the copy hit a snag and and Mark hasn't noticed. Or maybe the flood of transfer requests is just taking that long.

You could send another email to [email protected] to express your concern.

Also need to know the transfer of all messages if that can be done?
I don't know if the copy process proceeds one section at a time, or in what order. I would kind of expect that messages would be second, after members.

Rod -
Did you remember to invite [email protected] to be a member of your Yahoo group and, after acceptance, give it administrator access to everything? The system needs full access to your old group in order to copy everything over.

? ?I looked deeper into the Yahoo group for our SONY topic and I found the membership of groups.io? I cannot up grade the status to moderator as I do not have those privileges as I am not the owner..... I passed the message to the owner of the Yahoo group and maybe something will happen now.? I am one of two owners of the new io groups for the SONY

thanks for being the spin doctor!? Rod aka poikaa?

Moderators can be given status to change the moderator status of
others, obviously in your case whoever upgraded you to moderator did
not. It was the case with me and on request I was upgraded.

By the way our group transferred last Saturday in under 8 hours from
giving them the go ahead. Whether there is a backlog it doesn't seem to
be slowing things down.

One of my groups ran into that. Contact the [email protected] address and report the problem with details about which messages came across and which didn't. It is usually a small glitch in the process that can be easily fixed on Mark's end and the remainder moved over.

I'm not sure how old your group is, but if a 2007 message is at the top, is it possible you're viewing the messages in chrono order (oldest at the top) instead of reverse chrono order? If your group started in 2007, click the "Date" button at the top right of the messages list and that will reverse the order.
