No EMail Option.
I run a couple of group .? One has to do with mental health. I have a couple of Drs as subscribers.? They selected no e mail in response to frequency of messages from the group.
I make exceptions for them, since they run private practices.?? I see that no e mail is not an option anymore.? ?It used to be. Any thoughts.. Robert |

I set my groups to not allow ¡°no email¡± so the closest option becomes ¡°special notices only¡±. I wouldn¡¯t want to have to send out a bunch of personal emails if there is something Important the entire group should be made aware of.
Regarding groups which may have ¡°sensitive¡± components - medical, mental health, etc. - i think some members may believe that choosing ¡°no mail¡± ensures privacy. If they ever post, even if they only post on the web, their email address will be visible/available to other group members who receive any form of group email (individual or digests).? If we own any ¡°sensitive¡± groups, members should be made aware of this and, if they have concerns, encouraged to use an alternative email address. ?I¡¯m still hoping that Mark may someday fix this privacy issue (which is not synonymous with anonymity). Currently, the best defense is restricting group membership. Patti |
Robert,
I make exceptions for them, since they run private practices. You could suggest they try an alternative: set Email Delivery to Digest or Summary, or set Message Selection to Following Only. Following Only would be most appropriate for members who want limit what they receive based on their personal selection of topics of interest.
