We are a new group and have signed up over 40 members. One candidate who applied yesterday is listed on our members section but has the code "NC" for "Not Confirmed."? How do I confirm this member? 23.3.3 Confirming members who are marked as Not Confirmed
In a Premium or Enterprise group, owners and moderators can confirm members who requested to join the group but have not yet responded to the confirmation message sent by Groups.io. These members are marked with a Not Confirmed ? badge in the member list.
To confirm a member who is marked as Not Confirmed:
1. Display the membership record of the member whose membership you want to confirm.
2. Go to the bottom of the member¡¯s page and click the Confirm button.
Note: In a restricted Premium or Enterprise group, if you approve a pending member who is not yet
confirmed, the approval also confirms their membership automatically.

Thanks but at the bottom of this member's page there is no Confirm button. You must have a Basic group. Only Premium and above can confirm members without their intervention. The buttons displayed are Save/ Send message/ Remove/ Ban/ Send Confirmation EmailCheck the box next to the person with the NC bade and select Send Confirmation Email from the Actions menu. The subscriber will have to respond to this email to remove the badge. Bruce Check out the new groups.io Help Center? See also the groups.io Owners Manual |

However we have signed up over 50 members whose application for membership was approved (confirmed) automatically. Only 2 have been? marked as NC even though we used the same Invite format as we did for the others.People who sign up to a group need to demonstrate that they ? ?1) actually own that email address they provided (after clicking the "Join This Group" button), and ? ?2) are capable of (and actually wish to) receive groups.io messages there. This is the purpose of the confirmation process; it's?not a sign that anything is broken.? Those who already have a confirmed groups.io account -- perhaps by having previously subscribed to another group, or having gone through a Yahoo transfer, or who click on "Join This Group" while already logged in to groups.io -- do not need to have it done again. Is there a fix to prevent this from happening to other potential members? Not without paying for a Premium group. Kent,
Only 2 have been marked as NC even though we used the same InviteAccepting an invitation confirms one's address. So those two must have skipped your invitation and joined by other means. You can check your group's Activity log to see what happened. Is there a fix to prevent this from happening to other potentialNo. Apart from educating people on the need to respond to Groups.io's confirmation request. Even with a Basic group you can have another one sent to them. Shal -- Help: /static/help More Help: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki Even More Help: Search button at the top of Messages list |
