Messages for Moderation buttons have changed. Gripe
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHallo All,
Groups.io have recently changed the the naming of parts and the way messages for moderation
are presented to us moderators. It used to be quite clear who was a new member and who was
a non member. Now it is not so clear and the nomenclature has changed.
??
( I'm flying a bit blind now because I do not have any messages to be moderated now. )
NUM and NMM are too perilously close to stand for opposite status.
Time is being wasted going back and forth to check Members.
Mistakes are being made.?
OK,
Tony

To be more consistent across the site, the word User was replaced with Member in many places, so it stands for the same thing. Thanks Francis,
It used to be NUM for New User Moderated, now labeled NMM. ok.
It used to be NS for Non-Subscriber. To change my kneejerk/habit for myself I have put a sticky
on the screen NM = Non Member. And of course there is the tooltip saying Non-Member which
comes up after a small wait.?
The bigger problem
is that on the Pending screen, a message from a new member on
moderation has no label next to the Author to indicate status. I guess no tooltip either. (I think it
was NUM3 before.? )? So, to check, for each blank status i have to go to Members to find their
status. a lot of clicks for my old short attention span.
